About Miami’s Beaches

September 30, 2016

Peaceful repose or pumping dance parties are all possible on the sandy beaches of Miami. As you look into real estate in Miami, consider the differences between different types of beaches and their benefits.

Hobie Beach

This locale is also known as Windsurfer beach, for all the windsurfers that frequent these waters. It’s also a popular destination for stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, and it has some dog-friendly sands that your pooch can enjoy along with you.

Virginia Key Beach

This beach is located just across from the Miami Seaquarium, so if you’re looking to kill two birds with one stone you can get in some education and recreation here. Virginia Key Beach has excellent views of downtown Miami and Brickell Avenue to enjoy from the sand. At the ends of Virginia Key Beach are two family-friendly beaches: Cradon Park Beach and Bill Baggs Caoe Florida State Park. These two beach areas offer stunning views, and even house the Cape Florida Lighthouse that you can tour.

South Beach

This famous stretch of sand has a great deal to offer. The Bass Museum of Art branches off at West South Beach. Families with small children prefer the South Pointe Park Pier area because of available facilities for small children to play. The dessert and restaurant options lend plenty of options to this beach area experience.

Miami Beach

This bit of stand spans from Collins Park to Indian Beach Park, and it’s famous for its elevated boardwalk and phenomenal beachfront resorts. This beach tends to be much more relaxed than the South Beach area, and houses fun food and music events throughout the year—including a food truck festival, and evening movies on the sand.

Surfside Beach

This is a preferred beach location for locals because of the walking paths and easy access to the ocean. It’s also an incredibly laid back atmosphere, perfect for really getting to relax and enjoy the sound of the waves.

Matheson Hammock Park Beach

This is another family-favorite beach destination because the calm, shallow waters are great for small kids. It has a natural atoll pool and beach area so it gives a little something for everyone.

Miami is chock full of beaches and oceanfront life. Whether you’re a family of five, or a group of friends vacationing, the beaches of Miami offer a wide variety of experiences that can cater to your tastes and provide the repose that you’re looking for.
