Boating neighborhoods are lifestyle communities that are specifically designed to meet the needs of boating homeowners, and may be located near any body of water where homeowners might want access to boats for business or recreation.

Properties that are conveniently located near oceans, lakes, rivers, bays or lagoons may offer homes located in boating neighborhoods, offering homeowners easy access to the water, as well as amenities designed with the needs of a boater in mind. Additionally, properties which are not in boating neighborhoods but are located nearby boating neighborhoods may be appealing to a boating homebuyer, as many offer docking at lower fees than private marinas. Boating neighborhood properties allow homeowners to own properties that are not waterfront, but still have their boats easily accessible and safely docked.
