A Coral Gables Cuban Gastropub

Bread and Butter in Coral Gables
“We wanted to merge an authentic Cuban cafeteria with a gastropub“. Said Alberto Cabrera executive chef and owner of Bread and Butter. This great little gem is located just a few blocks from our real estate office in the heart of Coral Gables. Bread and Butter or in Spanish ‘Pan Con Mantequilla‘ used to be one of Cabrera’s favorite breakfast foods growing up as his parents took him along to visits to Cuba. Cabrera’s menu offers a modern twist on some Cuban classics such as the Frita, Croquetas, Fufu De Platano, and many more.

One of the first thing you notice when you walk in is the vibrant ambiance. Yes, some people might find it a little loud, but that should be expected when you combine a Cuban cafeteria with a gastropub. With the decor Cabrera went after an ‘urban rustic genre mash of Little Havana kitsch and Brooklyn chic’. Just opened several months ago at the beginning of 2013 this restaurant has created quite a buzz amongst the local foodies. On Friday and Saturday nights you will find a full house crowd in this special little restaurant. The great food and vibrant ambiance make Cabrera’s new creation in Coral Gables an extraordinary experience for all of it’s customers.
