How to Select a Luxury Spa in your Town
November 2, 2012Given the proliferation of spas nowadays, it is no longer a luxury. It has somehow become a commodity. There are many ways to define a luxury spa but you have to keep in mind three specific criteria to determine if it indeed offers luxury – exclusivity, location and the features it offers.
How well trained are the spa attendants?
What services does it offer that other spas do not?
What kind of certifications does this spa have?
These are the questions you need to ask for you to determine its exclusivity, which is the first criterion. Location is also one of the criteria that you have to keep in mind. You have to consider where in town is the spa located and what clientele does it cater to. For example, if you live in South Florida, is the spa located near Miami luxury real estate. This is not a question of elitism per se, rather it is a question of whether it caters to a broad and diverse demographic which appreciates a quality experience and the finer things in life. Being surrounded by premium Miami real estate definitely adds to the luxury appeal. Lastly, the third criterion for determining whether a spa is luxurious or not is assessing the features it has. The more features and services it offers within the site, the better the experience and the more luxurious the spa should be. Using these criteria, you should be able to filter out spas that do not have what it takes to provide the luxury experience and ambiance you deserve. Luxury does not do anything with price per se, it has more to do with having the right value with what you pay for and the right concern for their clientele so as to provide the experience that the clientele wants to experience in the first place.
