Memphis is more than just a city found in Tennessee. It’s also a musical and it’s coming to Miami very soon. From May 7th to May 11th, you can come out and enjoy one of the most impressive Broadway musicals. This Tony-winning performance is set in Memphis and gives the audience a peak into the segregated life of the 1950s.
Blues and rock ‘n roll are alive during this time and there’s plenty of music throughout this performance. The main character is a white DJ in Memphis and he finds himself in love with a black singer. As the audience is taken through this journey, they enjoy explosive dancing, amazing songs and a tale of forbidden love. The performance is actually inspired by real events and will hit every emotion from laughter to tears.
Memphis: The Musical is coming to Miami from May 7th to May 11th. This show will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on Biscayne Boulevard. You can catch the show each night at 8pm, along with other show times during the day. Both Saturday and Sunday you can enjoy a matinee performance at 2pm.
If you want to come out and enjoy a performance that’s won four Tony Awards, you will need to get your tickets soon. Tickets range from $26 to $99, depending own here you sit and what’s left. The fourth Tier tickets are $26 for the Boxes, Main and Rear sections. Third Tier tickets are $56 for the Boxes and Main sections. Second Tier and some Orchestra tickets are $89. First Tier tickets and a portion of the Orchestra sections are $99.
Broadway Elite Season Tickets Holders can get into the special section for a fee. Parking is available for $15 for Lot A and Lot C, while Valet parking is $25.
