Miami is in for a Busy Weeked
February 15, 2014It is a great weekend to be in Miami. Luxury boats, beautiful art, and amazing weather what more can we ask for. If you are on the look for a new boat, or just want to see what’s hot in the world of boating, then the Miami International Boat Show is where you want to be this weekend. More than 3000 boats and 2000 exhibitors from around the world are here in Miami this weekend. This amazing show spans 3 South Florida locations — the Miami Beach Convention Center, the New Yacht & Power Boat Show at Sea Isle Marina and Strictly Sail® at Miamarina at Bayside. You will find everything there, from the latest in powerboats, sailboats and engines to cutting-edge marine electronics and accessories to the best in nautical gifts, services and apparel. The boat show also offers learning opportunities such as On-the-water learning events, seminars, an interactive tackle shop and more. This is the one Miami event every boater must attend. The boat show is a huge event, however it is not the only event going on in Miami this weekend. We also have two great art events in Coconut Grove and Wynwood. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is expected to attract about 120,000 people this year to the winding streets of Coconut Grove. The festival showcases the works of 360 internationally recognized artists who are selected from nearly 1,300 applicants. Exhibitors in categories as mixed media, painting, photography, digital art, printmaking & drawing, watercolor, claywork, glass, fiber, jewelry & metalwork, sculpture and wood, are all present at this woderful weekend event for the entire family. After attracting more than 26,500 visitors in 2013 Art Wynwood is back again for another great weekend of art. Art Wynwood 2014 will feature 70 international galleries presenting emerging, cutting edge, contemporary and modern works and will have its own distinct identity and design. One of the most unique features of Art Wynwood is the highlight of street art, murals, pop surrealism and other genres from the contemporary underground movement. Art Wynwood takes place in the Midtown Miami area and the Wynwood Arts District. Both are considered by many as Miami’s epicenter where art, fashion, design and the culinary arts intersect. – See more at: http://www.artwynwood.com/#sthash.nkkJHR4c.dpuf
