Miami Lawyer Raymond Rafool to Duke it Out With Wrestling Star John Cena in Divorce Court
June 11, 2012t’s a good time to be a lawyer in Miami. Well, at least for one lawyer anyways. Why? Even if you’re not the type of person to watch, ahem, professional wrestling – and yes, that’s the World Wrestling Entertainment kind, not the Collegiate, Freestyle or Greco-Roman kind – you have probably heard the name John Cena enough to know that he is a big man in the world of WWE, both literally and figuratively. Well, apparently the superstar strong enough to throw a man over his head couldn’t bring it back home, and is now filing for divorce from his wife of three years, Liz Huberdeau. So what does this have to do with being a lawyer in Miami? The not-much-longer Liz Cena hired one of Miami’s most well-known divorce attorneys – Raymond Rafool.
Prospectively, it seems as if Ms. Huberdeau made a good legal choice. Mr. Rafool has already won a divorce battle with a wrestling superstar, Hulk Hogan, which finished up at the tail end of 2011 with Mr. Hogan receiving only 30% of his total married assets – his ex-wife pocketed $7.4 million in the divorce settlement. Unfortunately, Rool’s battle with John Cena will be notably more difficult because (A) him and his wife have only been married for 3 years instead of 23, and (B) because Mr. Cena had the perhaps-self-fulfilling good sense to sign a prenuptial agreement that is very strongly in his own favor. How the case will turn out only time will tell, but the time to pick sides and grab a bag of popcorn is right now!
