Most Expensive 10 Homes Sold in Miami for 2016
January 10, 2017The year has come to an end and it’s always fun to look back at the most expensive properties sold in the Miami area. Many were found in the Miami Beach area, while some were found in Coconut Grove and Coral Gables. Here’s a look at the most expensive 10 homes/properties sold throughout the Miami area for 2016.
Castello del Sol – $45 million
This was the most expensive home sold and was owned by a soccer club owner worth billions. The home is found in Miami Beach and provides a beautiful setting with a large swimming pool, water views and many luxuries.
La Brisa – $34.6 million
Falling short of the top spot by more than $10 million, La Brisa is still quite the property. It’s actually the most expensive sale to ever happen in Coconut Grove and the property covers nearly seven acres of space.
110 Arvida Parkway – $25.8 million
The first Coral Gables property featured on the list covers about 12,000 square feet of living space. It has more than 200 feet of bay frontage and provides one of the finest Mediterranean homes found in the area.
9 Tahiti Beach – $23.46 million
Found just minutes away from NBA Hall of Famer Ray Allen’s beautiful estate, this Palladian-style estate provides 150 feet of waterfront area and stands three stories tall. It was owned by Cher and it’s found in one of the most desirable areas in South Florida.
7003 Fisher Island Drive #PH3 – $21.5 million
One of only two Fisher Island properties making the list, this penthouse is found in the Palazzo Del Sol. The building was newly opened and the penthouse provides a beautiful rooftop pool. The views from the home are spectacular and the building is full of luxury amenities.
3315 Collins Avenue #PHD – $20 million
Another penthouse making the list, beautiful property features incredible water views and plenty of luxuries. However, the 7,710 square foot unit found at the Faena House has already been put back on the market for a much higher price of $33.9 million.
2920 North Bay Road – $19.95 million
Another property providing plenty of waterfront area, this home sits on the bay in Miami Beach. It’s a tropical/modern home with amazing gardens, a rooftop terrace and one of the best outdoor entertaining areas you can find.
6385 Pine Tree Drive – $19 million
This home used to be owned by Pudge Rodrigues and sold in 2016 for $19 million. It’s found on the northern side of Miami Beach and provides an amazing property for the new owner.
325 Leucadendra Drive – $16.5 million
Another property found in Coral Gables, Florida, this contemporary estate provides a large swimming pool and a classic design. It was designed by Rafael Portuondo.

7043 Fisher Island – $15.5 million
The second of the Fisher Island properties making it on the list for 2016, this new construction property is found in the same building as the penthouse listed above. It’s a combo unit found in the Palazzo Del Sol with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms in total. The views are quite amazing and the property is rather large.
Several properties in the Miami area topped the $10 million price tag, but these ten were the most expensive sold in 2016.
