New Gucci Outlet Opening at Sawgrass Mills
December 6, 2012Gucci is opening its first outlet in Sawgrass Mills, a Simon Mall in South Florida. It’s on 12801 W Sunrise Blvd, Sunrise FL. Gucci has been known for its sophisticated leather goods and Italian fashion. It was founded in Florence by Guccio Gucci in 1921. He established his shop with organized industrial methods while maintaining traditional fabrication processes. He hired skilled workers for leather crafts and finishing styles. It’s one of the “Top Global 100 Brands.” It has 278 owned stores across the globe (September 2009 data) and this one in Sawgrass Mills will be the new addition.
The new outlet will be carrying a wide range of shoes, purses, clothing, and more. Gucci has been known to be a successful manufacturer of luxurious leather goods and other fashion products. It will become one of the high end retailers at Sawgrass Mills. Shoppers will get to enjoy this unique brand together with the other luxurious brands in this shopping mall. It’s definitely a good marketing strategy for the mall to meet their market demand for high-quality brand shopping.
The new Gucci will soon be servicing clients and it’s just in time for the holidays. The date has not been announced yet but the luxury retailer is expected to be open before Thanksgiving. The Oasis will be its temporary location but it will transfer to its permanent location as part of the expansion project of the Colonnade outlets at Sawgrass Mills. The Simon Mall, which is working on its 40,000 square-foot expansion project, is expected to be finished early next year. Vice president and general manager, Luanne Lenberg, said that Gucci is no doubt a great addition to their pool of exclusive retailers.
Other new outlets that will be joining Gucci in the Colonnade expansion will be Diane von Furstenberg and Robert Graham. Other tenants are yet to be announced but The Colonnade already has a great selection of deluxe retail shops such as Giorgio Armani, St. John, Prada, Canali, Valentino, David Yurman, Judith Ripka and Salvatore Ferragamo.
