Porche Lover’s Flock for the Anniversary 911June 12, 2013
As Porche turns 50 years old, the company has decided to celebrate by introducing an anniversary edition of the 911. The plans include an unveiling at the Frankfurt Motorshow in September, which was the introduction location of the Porche 911 back in 1963. This special edition comes with many luxury features and plenty of power. Features include:
• 3.8-litre, 400 horsepower flat-six engine
• Manual transmission
• Dual-Clutch paddle shift system
• Five-spoke, 20-inch alloy wheels
• Chrome engine compartment trim and grille trim
• Front air inlets
• Rear-wheel drive
• Active sports suspension
• Porche Torque Vectoring or PVT
• Rear limited slip differential
• And so much more!
This incredible Porche will provide owners with plenty of power with a top speed of 186 miles per hour and the ability to go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds. It’s even faster with the Porche PDK dual-clutch paddle shift system.
The design is very similar to the current Carrera S model, however the wheel arches are a bit wider and the this version provides a sleeker look. This isn’t just another 911 with great features, but an anniversary edition with an excess of luxuries.
In celebration of the first Porche 911, this version is available in the specially mixed Geyser Grey, Graphite Grey or black. A numbered plaque will be displayed prominently in the interior, along with a 911 50 badge on the rear engine lid.
Porche lovers can order their anniversary edition and expect delivery in September. This beautiful vehicle, all its power and the tradition that comes along with it won’t come with a small price tag, however. If you want to own one of these limited anniversary edition Porche 911 beauties and help celebrate the 50th anniversary of this popular luxury sports car, the price starts at $140,000.
