Ricky Martin Finally Sells $10 Million Dollar Miami Beach Mansion

There is interesting news in the world of high-end real estate in Miami: as of April 19, world famous Puerto Rican-Spanish singer Enrique Martin Morales – otherwise known as Ricky Martin – finally sold his mansion in Miami Beach after over four years on the market. It seems that work on Broadway is finally calling the pop star from his home away from home, Miami, where he also co-owns a restaurant called Casa Salsa. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him in South Florida, but such is life.

The house was built in 2004 and Ricky Martin originally purchased it for $10 million. He put it up for $19.5 million, but Mr. Martin starting lowering his asking price in 2008 and then kept lowering it as the economy worsened. Finally, last Thursday he was able to close the sale at $10.6 million to an as yet anonymous buyer.

• The house is 10,000 ft.² with seven bedrooms
• It is in close proximity to athletes like Barry Gibb, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade
• Situated on Miami Beach with direct access to the bay, the house is prime waterfront property
• The house’s exterior features lush vegetation, orderly walkways and beautiful courtyards

Various media outlets have of course drawn their own conclusions as to the buyer. Two other internationally recognized musicians, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, are said to have taken a keen interest in the house… Could it be that they were the buyers? Only time will tell.
