The New Jaguar 2013 F-TYPE – Finally Unveiled!
October 12, 2012Jaguar finally pulled back the shade on its newest creation. The first two-seat convertible from the luxury auto maker in over 50 years, the 2013 F-TYPE was displayed recently at the Paris Auto Show. Although the new model still has that certain “look” that we all expect from a Jaguar, the design is decidedly more aggressive than past models and is fully capable of being driven at high performance speeds. The vehicle boasts a lightweight body made of aluminum and the human factors engineering are near perfect. The arrangement of the controls is quite intuitive and they’re placed within easy reach, making this car a pure joy to drive. If also features a front engine and rear wheel drive providing a near perfect balance during cornering maneuvers.
One unique feature of the new F-Type is the hidden air vents which remain out of sight unless they are being used. This helps to maintain the smooth jet-like interior of the cockpit area. There is also a grab handle located on the passenger side of the center console, pretty handy when taking those fast turns that this vehicle if fully capable of.
The new F-TYPE will offer three different options for the engine including the standard 340Hp with a top speed of 161 MPH prices at $69,000, the S 380Hp with a top speed of 181 mph costing $81,000 and the V8 S 495Hp capable of reaching an impressive 186 mph with a price tag of $92,000.
