Upcoming Event: Art Basel Miami Beach

The top galleries across the globe show up for this incredible event, which has been going on for more than 40 years in three locations: Basel, Hong Kong and Miami Beach.
The reputation of Art Basel Miami Beach is to provide the best high quality art from all across the world. Leading international galleries and collectors will be on hand providing visitors with the best art event in the United States.
The Main Event
The Main Event of Art Basel will be held from December 1st to 4th with 269 leading galleries from Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and Latin America on hand. Some of the most significant works will be displayed with many emerging stars showing off paintings, photographs, films, installations, sculptures and more.
The main exhibition hall will features incredible art and will be the home for the main event. Of course, Art Basel takes over the entire city, so it won’t just be what’s found at the main event.
The Sectors
Art Basel Miami Beach is split up into different sectors to make it easier for visitors to find what they’re after. The sectors include the following”
Galleries
With more than 200 of the best galleries for modern and contemporary art, this sector will include work from over 4,000 artists. Enjoy installations, film, video, digital art, paintings, sculpture and so much more.
Nova
The Nova sector provides a way to provide unique pieces from one, two or three artists from the past three years. It’s a very popular choice for visitors and provides plenty of fresh works of art.
Positions
With the ability to discover incredible talent from all over the world, Positions is a sector perfect for critics, collectors and curators. It’s a place for the single artist.
Edition
Some of the top publishers in the world show up to provide works of art through this sector. Visitors can enjoy editioned works, multiple exhibits and print works throughout this sector.
Kabinett
An interesting space with plenty of diverse art on display, Kabinett provides thematic exhibitions, solo shows from rising stars and art-historical showcases.
Survey
The place for art historical projects, Survey provides solo presentations, juxtapositions, and thematic exhibits from plenty of cultures across the world.
Public
With 20 large-scale sculptures and installations, the Public sector provides emerging artists with installations in Collins Park. The Bass Museum of Art has collaborated to make sure this sector is one of the most popular.
Film
A popular sector with all types of outdoor screenings at SoundScape Park, the Film sector provides a look at some of the most interesting films in the art community.
Magazines
Magazines from all over the globe will be on display in collective booths and single-magazine stands. Editors and publishes will show off their best magazines as works of art.
Hours and Tickets
The public opening will last from December 1st to December 4th. The hours will be from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday, from 12pm to 8pm on Friday and Saturday and from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.
Tickets for the day are $50 per day if bought online, but $55 if purchases at the event. A permanent ticket, which gets you in for all four days is $105 if purchased online or $115 if bought at the event. You can also get a combination ticket for the Art Basel event and Design Miami for any of the days for $60 online or $65 at the event.
