Which Miami Beaches are the Most Family-Friendly?
June 28, 2015There are a variety of beaches in Miami, and many of them are geared towards families. These are beaches that you can feel comfortable taking your kids to. The atmosphere is comfortable and easy going, so you don’t have to worry with any wild beach parties.
While South Beach is a great place to go grab some drinks with a friend, it isn’t meant for children. Too much goes on in South Beach that you would not want to introduce your family to. Here are some of the top beaches in Miami that you can take your whole family to.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
This beach is located on Key Biscayne, and is only 10 miles outside of the heart of Miami. You will have to pay a toll when driving to this beach, which is run by Rickenbcker Causeway. The drive is pleasant and very scenic. Once you reach the park, there will be an $8 per car entrance fee. However, this includes your parking.
Check out the view from the top of Cape Florida Lighthouse. The lighthouse is accessible from 10am to 1pm every day, with the exclusion of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Crandon Park Beach
Crandon Park Beach can be found in Key Biscayne. It is towards the beginning of the island, which is opposite of the Bill Baggs Park. Many television commercials and magazine photographs have taken place on this beach. You will have to pay a $7 entrance fee per car, and Sundays bring in the most crowds.
Kite-boarders like the north end of the beach. You can rent your kite boarding supplies, take lessons, engage in stand-up paddle boarding and there is also a snack shop available.
