Which Wineries are Found in South Florida?

September 24, 2015

South Florida has some fantastic winery options that draw tourists and locals alike to the area. Wine is always available in grocery stores and liquor stores but you can’t be the massive variety found in the wineries around the area. Skip the small selection in stores and visit a real South Florida winery where you’ll find fine wines, mango wines, citrus wines and so much more. They are all within driving distance of Miami and you could hit a couple in one day. When you’re ready for some sweet wine this weekend, head out to these top wineries in the area.

Endless Summer Vineyard & Winery – 4200 Johnston Road, Fort Pierce

A great option in Fort Pierce is the Endless Summer Vineyard & Winery found on Johnston Road. The owner is Gary Roberts who began the business in 2009. You’ll love the surfing memorabilia in the tasting room like the belly board from 1910. Take a tour to stroll through the vineyards, taste some wine and check out the white sandy beach. You can even feed fish and turtles that live here and check out special events like the Sunday Wine Down.

Henscratch Farms Vineyard & Winery – 980 Henscratch Road, Lake Placid

Just a couple of hours away from Miami you can find the Henscratch Farms Vineyard & Winery opened in 2003. It’s been awarded by the 2015 International Wine Competition for six of its wines and visitors love to stop in for the annual grape stomp each August. Stomp some grapes and have your own private label wine ready by November.

Schnebly Redland’s Winery – 30205 SW 217th Street, Homestead

If you love fruity wines, Schnebly is the place to go. Located in Homestead, FL, the winery has been around since 2003 featuring wines that use ingredients like Passion Fruit, mango, lychee and guava. Take a tour to see how the wine is made and stroll through the vineyards that feature beer tastings. It’s become a place for special events like birthdays and weddings.

Check out these top wineries in South Florida for something more than the usual wine selections at the store.
