The beautiful Banyan trees of Coral Gables

Coral Gables has long been known as one of the best neighborhoods in Miami. Many believe this area of Miami is not only beautiful, but also luxurious. Some have even called Coral Gables, “The City Beautiful.” Here’s why this neighborhood is one of the best in Miami.

A Major College

The University of Miami is located in the Coral Gables area, which makes it a great place to live. As one of the top 50 Universities in the country, there isn’t much downside to having the college in the area. Most of the typical college partying you might think comes from a college area actually doesn’t in Coral Gables. Students often head to the beach or Grove to party instead of the campus.

Banyan Trees

The beautiful Banyan Trees make this a favorite area of many residents. These trees line the streets of Coral Gables and provide that perfect balance between luxury and nature.

The Dining

With plenty of options for a night out, Coral Gables is very well-known for great dining. From Ortanique to Palme D’Or and many other restaurants, this is a hot spot for great cuisine.

The Venetian Pool

Maybe the most unique public pool in the entire country, the Venetian Pool provides plenty of luxury and fun. It features a waterfall, and fresh water from Florida’s aquifers.

Character

Unlike many other neighborhoods, Coral Gables has plenty of character. This area of Miami doesn’t try to change to stay with what’s trendy. Instead, it remains its own with plenty of history. This is mainly due to the strict zoning laws found here.

The Real Estate

Many of the homes within this area of Miami are considered Mediterranean Revival Architecture. They provide a very luxurious feel and a location only 10 minutes from the downtown Miami area. Homes range in price with many topping the $1 million mark. Coral Gables includes some of Miami’s most luxurious and world famous communities such as Gables Estates, Journey’s End, Snapper Creek Lakes, and many more.

These are just a few of the many reasons why Coral Gables is known as one of the best neighborhoods in Miami. Whether you prefer the history, the university or the luxury, you’ll find plenty of all three here.
