Laureen Wheeler

After a long and fulfilling career in the healthcare industry, Laureen decided to pursue a career in real estate, allowing her to combine her enthusiasm for meeting new people with her passion for all things real estate. Laureen, a Miami native, developed her love of real estate and design from a very young age while watching her father, who possessed a diverse mechanical skillset, and her mother, a talented artist, interior designer, and seamstress, renovate and invest in several properties throughout Miami during her childhood.

In addition to renovating, her family built several custom homes, and it is here that Laureen honed her knowledge of planning, construction, and interior design. Her keen eye for design, which she claims she inherited from her mother, allows her to help her clients visualize what a space can become with only a few minor changes.

Laureen regularly invests in income-producing properties and has refined her negotiating skills to get her clients, whether buyers or sellers, the best and highest price. She believes that trust is the first and most important component of a successful client/agent relationship, and this principle has garnered her a constant source of repeat customers and referrals.

Laureen loves spending time with her husband, who has been in the lending business for over 30 years, and they often discuss the latest home buying and lending trends. Everything that Laureen does, she approaches with passion and a pursuit of perfection. Laureen is an avid baker and even trained with a master icing expert to ensure her cookies are decorated to perfection. She also loves to draw chalk murals, create elaborate costumes for holidays, and write short stories. When she is outdoors, Laureen and her family enjoy all the fun activities afforded to those lucky enough to live in South Florida, like boating, snorkeling, swimming, and cycling.
