Maybe you’ve always wanted to master the art of sketching. Drawing can be very fulfilling and fun. If you’re interested in sketching, the South Florida area offers plenty of great classes. Here are some of the best South Florida sketching classes to choose from.

Miami Dade College – 300 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami

Miami Dade College provides both sketching and drawing classes all throughout the year. Professional art instructors lead the classes and provide plenty of experience for students to learn from. Beginning level classes are offered during the day with some also offered in the evening.

While this is a college for continuing education, they don’t have any type of attendance requirement for many of the sketching classes. However, it’s always recommended for students to attend all of the classes.

Supporting artists and helping to further art in South Florida is what the Art Center/South Florida Studios is all about. This studio provides classes for drawing, printmaking, jewelry making and so much more. They have been around since 1984 and they know how to teach you to sketch.

Victorios Art Studio – 934 North Victoria Park Road, Fort Lauderdale

Since 2012, Victorios Art Studio has been enjoying teaching the public how to sketch and create art. The studio is family owned and operated with classes offered during the week, on weekends and in the evening. Whether you’re 4 years old or 80 years old, you’re welcome to take a class here.

Blu Moon Studio Of Art – 3444 Main Highway, Coconut Grove

Found in the Florentino Plaza, Blu Moon Studio Of Art provides plenty of great classes for sketching. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced student, they have a class for you. Basic Drawing I is perfect for those with no experience. This class covers four weeks and helps to teach the fundamentals of drawing, along with how to see things as an artist.

Blu Moon Studio Of Art also offers other classes throughout the year. They have classes for adults and for children.

Beaux Arts Children’s Art Camp & Classes – 1301 Stanford Drive, Coral Gables

Beaux Arts is found at the Lowe Art Museum of the University of Miami. They provide classes throughout the year for children, along with camps. They also provide some adult classes for drawing throughout the year. Most of the classes are held during the evening, late afternoon and on weekends. Camps are often offers over school holidays and over the summer. Both parents and children can learn how to sketch at Beaux Arts.
