Luxurious Miami Mall Scheduled to Open in 2016
January 20, 2014The Forbes Company recently announced a partnership with the Taubman Centers in Miami. They will be creating a luxury mall and are shooting for an opening date sometime in 2016. The mall will be found at the Miami Worldcenter.
Fashion is already a big deal in downtown Miami, but with the addition of the new mall, residents can expect around 750,000 square feet of luxury to be added. This world-class shopping facility will features some of the largest names in fashion including anchor stores, such as Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.
The mall will become a part of the Miami Worldcenter and will be part of phase one of this project.

About the Forbes Company
The Forbes Company is known as one of the largest and most recognizable developers in the world. They are responsible for other Florida luxury malls, such as The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens and the Waterside Shops in Naples, Florida.
Sidney Forbes, founding partner of the Forbes Company, believes Florida is one of the top markets for world-class retail facilities. The company expects to break ground on the new mall sometime in 2014.
This will be the fourth iconic shopping destination developed by the Forbes Company in Florida. They have already created The Gardens Mall, Waterside Shops and The Mall at Millennia (Orlando). The company is also responsible for The Somerset Collection found in Troy, Michigan.
The new mall in Miami will be found across from the American Airlines Arena, making is very convenient for both residents and visitors. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts will also be found close the mall.
Once completed, the Miami Worldcenter will cover over 25 acres of space with a mix of office, residential, retail, entertainment and hospitality space. It will become one of the largest centers of its kind found in Miami.
