Miami Megayacht to Stage International Jewelry Fair
November 19, 2012Next month is sure to be an exciting one for Miami’s rich and fabulous, as the city prepares to welcome some of the world’s most famous jewelers for the inaugural edition of the International Contemporary Jewelry Fair, to be held aboard the 228-foot megayacht SeaFair.
The event promises to be the highlight of the Art Basel Miami Beach, and will feature stunning luxury jewelry items from the world’s most sought-after brands, designers and artisans.
The International Jewelry Fair is the first event ever to be held aboard the magnificent SeaFair, whose permanent berth in the city’s official arts & entertainment district provides an inspiring and luxurious venue for future fairs this season.
Among the participants at the International Jewelry Fair this year, we can expect to see artisans and designers from as far and wide as Italy, Germany, Spain, Australia, Brazil, Lebanon, the Philippines and of course, the USA. The event is truly a global one, and should draw an impressive crowd wanting to see the wide range of contemporary jewelry items on display. Each item promises to be truly stunning and unique, drawing on local resources to have the effect of embodying the unique style of the country they originate from.
Some of Europe’s most renowned names have already signaled they will be in attendance, including Bagues Masriera of Spain, whose artistic pieces incorporate Art Deco and Art Nouveau themes, as well as design houses like Dario & Peter, Chantecler, Opera Omnia, Vendorafa, Scavia and Zydo.
Another exciting exhibit to look forward to, will be the exotic collection of pearls promised by the likes of Autore from Australia. Autore is one of the largest producers of South Sea pearl jewelry in the world, and is extremely popular with Hollywood’s elite during those magical red carpet moments. Another brand to look out for is Jewelmer of the Philippines, which is renowned for its rare and exquisite pieces that incorporate pearls from the Palawan South Sea.
The inaugural International Jewelry Fair Is not just a showcase for the world’s most celebrated designers though, as it will also present the collections of dozens of up and coming designers, feeding the fantasies of jewelry connoisseurs and collectors alike with some of the most sophisticated and original pieces ever conceived.
