While the rest of the country might be grappling with record low temperatures this winter, Miami is boasting winter temperatures in the 70s (Fahrenheit) — meaning there’s plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors!
There aren’t many beaches that can compete with the beauty of Miami’s sandy shores, which can be enjoyed year round thanks to our mild climate. Our miles of pristine coastline are perfect for every type of outdoor activity — from the more obvious, such as enviable sunbathing and swimming — to activities such as beach volleyball games, rollerblading, biking, outdoors gym classes, and more.
No matter the occasion, it’s always a great time to head outside in Miami. Grab some friends and enjoy an outdoor al fresco picnic waterside at South Pointe Park, or enjoy a barbecue at twilight, or take man’s best friend on a walk through historic Coconut Grove.
Plus, Miami is alive with art, from the colorful art deco buildings that adorn the city’s beachfront, to the ever-expanding amount of street art and galleries that can be found in neighborhoods like Wynwood and the Miami Design District, the city is practically an open-air gallery.
And while many come to visit Miami during our “winter time” it’s easy to see why so many people end up staying full time! With no state income tax, estate tax, or inheritance tax, a countless array of cultures, and enviable year-round weather — with a world class beach always near by — it’s a city that everyone wants to be in.
