Miami has always been a destination for the rich and famous people of the world. A vacation destination for many, but a regular home for some, the following islands provide the lavish lifestyle of the rich and famous.
Finding the most exclusive area of Miami-Dade County is easy. Fisher Island has the highest per capita income in the entire country. This barrier island features some of the most exclusive condominiums and amenities, such as the yacht club and marina. Secluded beach clubs, private golf courses and many other elite amenities are found throughout. Many celebrities have lived on Fisher Island including, Jim Carrey, Oprah Winfrey and Andre Agassi.
A manmade island perfect for luxury, Palm Island features the ultimate luxury setting. Many homes feature large outdoor areas complete with extensive swimming pools, private docks, yachts and more. This island is found in the Biscayne Bay with access from the Mac Arthur Causeway. It’s been called home by Al Capone, Anna Kournikova, Barbara Walters, Enrique Iglesias and many others.
The final island choice for prestige is Star Island. This is another manmade island found in the Biscayne Bay. Many huge estates line the one street neighborhood featuring plenty of luxury amenities. Celebrities, such as Rosie O’Donnell, Gloria Estefan, Shaquille O’Neal and Julio Iglesias have called the island home.
These three islands offer the most expensive and luxurious condominiums and private homes throughout Miami. Many of the homes start at a price in excess of $10 million and those choosing to live the true island lifestyle in Miami can certainly afford the high price tag.
