Upcoming Openings and Temporary Becomes Permanent
April 24, 2013A pop up bar, turned Radio bar is now here to stay. It’s gone from a temporary project moving from one place to another, to a permanent location. Menin Hotels took over the spot in the South of Fifth neighborhood and will make it a fixture of the area. Many new cocktails were added to the menu and a full snack bar serving pizza from the hotels pizza bar have also been added to the menu.
The new permanent location will feature Craig Schoettler cocktails. He’s a mixologist with plenty of prestige associated with his name and has added cocktails to the menu perfect for the comfortable atmosphere. Not only are there plenty of new menu additions, but also a new happy hour from 6pm to 8pm featuring one of the signature cocktails.
The corner of Salamanca Avenue and Ponce de Leon Boulevard is also in the plans for something new this summer. Alberto Cabrera, owner of Bread + Butter, plans to open his fast-food Cuban burger restaurant called Frita Shop on this corner. The idea has been in development for quite some time and will finally become a reality in Coral Gables this summer.
There’s quite a bit of excitement surrounding all these openings, as they’ve been in the works for more than just a few months. Locals will finally get to enjoy the excellent cocktails of one of the top mixologists coming from Chicago out in Miami Beach and those living in Coral Gables can take advantage of the new restaurant openings.
