This activity is a favorite of many and provides a great activity for families, couples or individuals to enjoy. However, it’s not the cheapest activity in the area. Here are a few places you can enjoy swimming with the dolphins.

Theatre of the Sea – 84721 Overseas Highway, Islamorada
Not only can you swim with dolphins, here, but also sharks and sting rays. They even have a “Wade with the Dolphin” program for those that are not such good swimmers.
Theatre of the Sea provides 30-minute “Swim with Dolphin” experiences for $185 per person. This allows you to interact with the dolphins and enjoy plenty of time with these lovable creatures.
Miami Seaquarium – 4400 Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne
At the Miami Seaquarium, you can swim with the dolphins in the shallow water program. This encounter is designed for both young and old swimmers. It starts with a classroom session, and then you get to spend a full 30 minutes swimming with dolphins including shaking their hands, a few training signals and more. However, you won’t actually get to swim, but the dolphins get to. The cost is $139 per person.
Dolphin Research Center – 58901 Overseas Highway, Grassy Key
The Dolphin Research Center has a long list of dolphin encounters from swimming with the dolphins to the trainer for a day program. All the programs allow you to spend time with the dolphins and range in price from $25 to $675. They do provide group rates for many of the encounters, as well.
