April 4, 2012The world’s most expensive cruise costs an “eye-popping” 1.94 million dollars per couple. That works out to about $16,000.00 per day, per couple. No one has purchased this cruise package yet, but travel agents report that there have been several serious inquiries. Of course, a cruise this expensive has to offer some extraordinary amenities – and this particular cruise certainly delivers.
The lucky couple will leave London in a helicopter and be flown to the airport. At the airport, they will be served a pre-flight “snack” of Don Perignon Champagne and Beluga Caviar. The caviar is valued at $7,533.00 per kilogram. Then these most fortunate of travelers will fly by a privately chartered Boeing Business Jet to Los Angles, California. En route, they will indulge in a ten-course tasting menu prepared by a Michelin five star chef. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, they will be transferred to the opulent Beverly Wilshire Hotel. After a couple of night to rest from the “rigors” of their transatlantic journey, the couple will be taken to the ship in a Rolls Royce.
The name of the ship is the Silver Whisper, and it is one of the elite vessels operated by the high-end Silversea Cruise Line. Everything about this cruise package is luxury class. The Silver Whisper will leave Los Angeles in January of 2013 for a four-month cruise. It will visit twenty-eight countries including New Zealand, Australia, French Polynesia, Barbados, Malaysia, Bora Bora, the Maldives, South Africa and Ghana. The couple will stay in a royal suite that is truly fit for a king or queen. The suite has a living room, a dining room, two bedrooms, two marble bathrooms, and two balconies. Nine different kinds of pillows are available to ensure that each passenger will find one that appeals. A personal butler will be available 24/7 to attend to the needs of the sojourners. All trips ashore are included in the package. At the end of the cruise, there will be a post-cruise stay in a sumptuous villa in Miami.
The Silversea Cruise line did quite a bit of research before putting together this cruise. They asked former high-end cruisers what features they thought should be included in an “ultimate cruise package.” The decision was made to include all of the most viable suggestions and not worry about price. This package is indeed the ultimate cruise package at the ultimate price. Now all that’s needed is someone with a yen for the finer things in life – and a “super-sized” bank account!
