The House of Borgezie introduced some very expensive shoes recently, but are they the most expensive in the world? These platinum beauties are called the Cleopatra and they are a very high stiletto heel made of solid platinum. The price tag is $109,700 and these beauties took over four years to develop. Here’s a look at some of the other expensive shoes found in the world.

Stuart Weitzman’s “Diamond Dream” Stilettos – $500K

Platinum stilettos from The House of Borgezie have nothing on these insane shoes from a Kuwait jeweler and Stuart Weitzman. These shoes have 1,420 brilliant-cut diamonds with a total carat weight over 30 and they are set in platinum. They were worn by Anika Noni Rose at the 2007 Oscars.

“The Wizard of Oz” Ruby Slippers – $666K

A pair of pumps customized by Innes Shoe Company for “The Wizard of Oz,” these shoes come with a very high price tag. Three large red glass jewels are found in the bows, along with rhinestones, bugle beads and a silver setting for these beautiful shoes.

“Platinum Guild” Stilettos from Stuart Weitzman – $1,090,000

Another creation from Weitzman, these shoes features 464 pear and round-shaped diamonds and they are set in platinum.  The shoes were worn by Laura Harring at the 2002 Academy Awards and she had three bodyguards accompanying her because of the shoes and the $27 million dollar necklace she wore.

“Cinderella Slippers” from Stuart Weitzman – $2 million

This creation form Weitzman isn’t even the most expensive shoes in the world. However, the 5-carat amaretto diamonds found on just one of these shoes put them close to the top of the list. A total of 595 carats of diamonds set in platinum makes these an incredible shoe.

Rita Hayworth Heels from Stuart Weitzman – $3 million

The most expensive shoes in the world do come from Weitzman and they feature a satin, open toe design. These shoes were worn by Kathleen York to the 2006 Academy Awards.
