iOS 6 is Here

iOS 6, Apple’s newest version of it’s mobile operating system, is here. One of the stories that took center stage with the release of iOS 6 is the removal of Google’s Maps and YouTube apps. As Apple made the plans to omit these apps from the iOS bundle, Google have worked hard and released a new iOS version of it’s own to the YouTube App. It is believed that Google will release an New iOS Maps app soon as well.

Apple replaced the Google Maps App with a map app of their own. Vector based elements make the text and graphics incredibly detailed. Speaking of which, Apple upgraded Siri with some nice features like latest reviews and showtimes. Siri can also launch your favorite apps, just ask her to Launch the app for you and she will gladly do that for you. Siri would also be able to post Facebook updates and tweets for you. Siri will now be available on the iPhone 3Gs and up, and on iPad 2 and up.

Passbook will allow you to keep all your electronic ticket and boarding pass in one easy to retrieve location. Safari has been upgraded to provide a better web browsing experience including iCloud tabs, and full screen landscape mode. These are only some features of about 200 new features that iOS brings to your favorite iOS device.

Now that iOS 6 is out the stage is ready for the main performance, the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 will be available for sale at Apple stores tomorrow starting at 8:00 am. Pre-orders will also ship tomorrow.
