Living in Miami

May 18, 2016

Enjoy tropical sunshine, lush landscapes, and an energetic culture almost every day of the year when you live in Miami. Native Miamians are never short on entertainment and amazing scenery. The Audrey Ross Team at Miami Real Estate loves Miami and all the vibrant excitement it has to offer residents. That’s why we’re so passionate about finding luxurious Miami real estate for every single client.
Here are just a few examples of the fun and the interesting things you can do when you live in Miami:

Key West Day Trip

Anyone living in Miami should take a journey to the historically rich island of Key West at least once. Take the day slowly and leisurely soak up the laid-back atmosphere, quaint shops, and outdoor cafes. You can also get out on the water on a glass-bottom boat ride, snorkeling cruise, or parasailing adventure. Famous locations on Key West include the Hemingway House and Mallory Square.

Miami Everglades tour

The Everglades National Park is a 1.5 million-acre wetlands preserve located on the southern tip of Florida. Within the Everglades there are dozens of tours, from boat trips to walking trips, along with opportunities to go fishing, camping, and bird watching. Along with the various birds, the Everglades is also home to hundreds of different animal species, like the endangered leatherback turtle, Florida panther, and West Indian manatee.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Villa Vizcaya, now the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, was the former estate of Florida businessman James Deering. It is located on Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove and provides visitors with a taste of 15th through 19th century European art and furnishings. Outside you can visit the beautiful Italian Renaissance formal gardens and the jungle forest. Enrich yourself with culture in this beautiful, well-preserved piece of old world beauty.

Explore the various beaches

We don’t need to tell you that Miami is famous for its dozens of gorgeous beaches. However, there are a few of them you definitely shouldn’t miss. Key West, Sanibel Island, Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Naples, and Atlantic Beach are some of the best beaches in the world, and if you’re living in Miami, you need to take advantage of them! With beautiful white sand and stunning blue water, these beaches provide visitors with the island paradise atmosphere that is so often associated with Miami.

Browse the Design District

Public art installations, unique retailers, galleries, and restaurants all come together in this unique neighborhood. The Miami Design District was started over 15 years ago to juxtapose designer brands with important art collections, temporary and permanent art and design installations, and great restaurants. Today, the Design District features high-end brands like Christian Louboutin, Marni, Maison Martin Margiela, Cartier, Celine, Dior, Hermes, and Prada. After you’ve visited the luxury shops, check out one of the many galleries and exhibition spaces including Art Fusion, Solange Rabello Art Gallery, and The Moore Space.
