Miami’s Greenway Project

The Miami River Greenway Action Plan addresses restoration of the river’s natural and cultural heritage as well as the social and economic needs of the people who live and work in the area.
Major components of the greenway include landscaped pathways, street improvements, lighting, seating, signage, historic markers and other amenities throughout the entire river corridor.
The greenway project has sought partners among local nonprofit organizations, government agencies, businesses and neighborhood groups.
