Many of the top movies provide a look at some of the most iconic homes in the world. Sometimes, the best homes are used in the best movies, while other times, the movie may not be nearly as amazing as the home. Here’s a short list of some of the most amazing homes used in movies.
Contempt – Casa Malaparte
This movie wasn’t exactly a hit, but the home was. It’s found just 30 meters above seas level on Capri. The architecture is amazing and the film featured Brigitte Bardot.
Twilight – Hoke Residence
An iconic film and home, this one is very recognizable by the many fans of Twilight. The home is found on the border of the Forest Park in Oregon and was the residence of Edward Cullen in Twilight. Skylab Architecture created the home.
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – The Ben Rose House
Another pretty famous movie and house, this one was designed by James A. Speyer. It’s a glass and steel box that was created in Highland Park, Illinois. The home was created in 1953 and covered 5,300 square feet. The house sold for $1.06 million after spending five years on the market. It was originally listed at $2.3 million.
Bladerunner – Ennis House
A famous home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Ennis House was featured in the movie Bladerunner. It’s currently owned by Ronald Burkle and it’s found in Los Angeles. The home was original built in 1924 and features a design similar to the Mayan temples.
Body Double – Chemosphere
John Lautner designed this home in 1960 and it’s one of the most modern looking homes for sure. It’s an octagon house and provides a look similar to the flying saucer. The home is found in San Fernando Valley and is one of the most iconic homes ever found in a movie.
